This past weekend we had the pleasure of driving to Louissiana to visit with some good friends. We were blessed to be able to stay in the familys beautiful vacation home on the river. As wonderful as it is to have finally moved and have our own place the last few weeks have been exhausting and a bit challenging for me. It was great to be able to get away for a few days and relax and have fun. It was worth the nine hour drive, the weather was beautiful, the house was peaceful and relaxing, the company was wonderful!
We enjoyed riding on the boat, (my favorite summer acticity) Logan had a blast fishing off the edge of the pilings with daddy and uncle Drew. We spottted “gattors” as Logan refers to them on the river, it’s such a foreign idea to have alligators in the river be so normal, It was really exciting, I’ve only ever seen them in the zoo. We ate some good southern deep fried sea food, I even tasted my first frog leg, kinda weird, but I felt like I had to at least taste It, but in the end I don’t think I’ll feel compeled to do that again.
We are home again and working on painting the kitchen and dining room. I am so excited to have it done but right now am feeling overwhellmed with details and being neat. After the paint we will be putting up some chair railing, I’ll post pictures when it’s all done, but it might be a while. For now here are some pictures of the weekend in LA.waiting for the fish to bite First fish with daddyLooking for fish This little girl loved riding on the boat
