Better late than never

Logan's first day of preschool has long since come and gone.
Since we found out we were staying here a little longer I scrambled to find a preschool that was still open and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Wow! you think babies cost a lot, this is when kids start becoming expensive!
After being on a wait list I found one that was open from a friends recommendation. I visited and registered all the week before it started. I wasn't supper prepared with such short notice so as you can see the little guy does not have a backpack, but It's been ordered and is on it's way. When it comes I will be sure to post a picture of it, Logan picked it out himself and is very excited :)
I was very excited to get him in and give him the social interaction he has been lacking. They have a great schedule of learning, show and tell, play and art, and he loves it. In the car on our way the first morning, he quite excitedly informed me that I was going to leave him, go shopping with Madeline then come pick him up :) He had absolutely no reservations about entering the classroom by himself. When we got there he gave me kisses, a head bonk, knuckles and went on his merry way :).
I was very excited for him and all he was going to experience, but as I drove away it sank in that he is now going to start having experiences on his own without me. My boy is growing up! a little sad but also so exciting!
Here we are before getting in the car for the first day. I was a little nervous about being late so we were in a little bit a hurry and the pictures were rushed...

Having a hard time standing still
Just a tad excited! Preschool here I come...

Sweet Logan

Our bedtime conversation tonight...

Me: Jesus likes to hear you pray Logan...

Logan: Hey Unca oootie up in heaven with Jesus!...

Me: He sure is! maybe when you pray you can ask Jesus to give Uncle Luke a hug for you...

Logan: I want to go on an airplane go way high in the sky and go to Heaven to see ootie and Jesus...

Me: I don't think airplanes know how to get there, It's to high up there...

Logan: Mommy, you go and tell the airplane driver how to get there...

Logan: O I know!!! we can take a map, daddy shows me how to use them...
...
What a precious little boy, He was determined to find a way to get there. I love hearing him talk about Jesus and wanting to go see Heaven, but at the same time it's hard to know what to say and how to explain things. He can understand so much more than I realize and he just keeps amazing me with his comments.
